New contract to be announced at commission meeting | Business
PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - A new contract will be announced at the monthly meeting of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission which will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22 in the Commission’s offices located at 1 West St. Joseph Street in Perryville, Mo.
The Commission has received an administrative services contract from the Madison County Health Department in conjunction with a Community Development Block Grant to assist with construction of Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility improvements.
The Commissioners will hear reports on recent activities involving the Revolving Loan Funds, the Regional Homeland Security Oversight Committees, EPA non-attainment area status/Air Quality Committee, and the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act program.
Reports will be presented on the status of the sidewalk surveys project and the development of the Southeast Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Staff will also report on a recent Transit Committee meeting, the BRO program and upcoming CDBG application training.
Commissioners will be asked to adoption of the 2012 Affirmative Action Program for the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission which was prepared in December, 2012, and the Commission’s CEDS Annual Report and Progress Report to the Economic Development Administration.
Early notice will also be given that CEDS Committee is scheduled to meet in March to begin the process of developing a new five-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the Southeast Missouri Region.
All meetings of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission are open to the public and the public is welcome to attend.
