CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Supporters throughout the state are raising money for Special Olympics Missouri through the annual Wheels for Winners Raffle.
Missouri law enforcement officers and Special Olympics Missouri are offering tickets for a chance to win a new Ford Mustang Convertible. The car was donated by the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to support Special Olympics Missouri programs.
The Southeast Area says they have a goal to raise $5,500 from ticket sales in the raffle. The tickets are $5 each and with each ticket, you have a chance to win the Mustang. Each area of the state (eight total, two in St. Louis) will draw a first, second and third place winner, all of whom will receive a prize. The first place winner from each area will receive lodging and tickets to the MU vs.Syracuse football game at Faurot Field in Columbia on Nov. 17. The second place prize is a $100 gift card and the third place prize is a $50 gift card,
According to SOMO, the drawings for each area finalist will be held between Nov. 3-6 at the top-selling dealership in each area. The Mustang giveaway will take place during the game on Nov. 17. Finalists will each randomly select a key, one of which will start the car.
Law enforcement agencies throughout the state continually support Special Olympics Missouri through the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The Wheels for Winners raffle is part of a year-round fundraising effort. Tickets are available at law enforcement offices, Shop 'n' Save stores, participating MADA dealerships, the Special Olympics of Southeast Area offices and online at www.somo.org.
