2 Perryville residents arrested after indoor pot growing operation found

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - Two Perryville residents were arrested after sheriff's deputies find a large, indoor marijuana growing operation.

Jason Bartlett, 26, was charged with manufacturing marijuana in residence with child present, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm (as a convicted felon), unlawful possession of an illegal weapon (switchblade) and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Michaela Kueker, 24, was charged with manuafacturing marijuana in residence with a child present, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of an illegal weapon (switchblade) and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

On Monday, April 8 two Perry County deputies arrived at a home on Park Avenue to arrest Bartlett on an outstanding warrant for burglary and stealing.

Perryville man arrested for motor vehicle theft

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -  A Perryville man is under arrest for stealing a pick-up truck. 

On Tuesday, March 19, Christopher M. Wolk was arrested on an active warrant for Class C Felony Stealing a Motor Vehicle.

The warrant stems from a January 16 report of theft of a 1996 Ford F-150 by David Crump of 215 S. Perryville Blvd, Perryville. 

Wolk is being held at the Perry County Jail pending $1,000 cash only bond.

Perryville man arrested on charges of distributing a controlled substance

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -  A Perryville man was arrested on charges of distributing a controlled substance.

Twenty-five-year-old Justin L. Walker of Perryville was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Class B Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

The arrest took place on Friday, March 8.

The arrest stems from a November 2012 incident involving an undercover operation by the Perry County Sheriff's
Office. 

Walker was transported to the Perry County Jail where he is being held pending $1,000 Cash bond.

3 Perryville residents charged in burglary, theft

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Three Perryville residents have been charged with burglary, theft and stealing.

Craig A. Pratt, 31; Ashley M. Schremp, 24; and Brian K. Keller, 46; have been charged with second degree burglary and theft/stealing over $500 but less than $25,000.

On Friday, Feb. 8 the Perry County Sheriff's Office received a report of  burglary and theft. They say someone entered an unlocked rear door and accessed the safe in the business, stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

According to officers, the money was recovered a short distance away from the business later that morning.

They say the investigation led to a discovery of a conspiracy by three Perryville residents to commit the crime. Warrants were issued, and Pratt and Schremp have already been arrested. Officers say they are still looking for Keller.

Cape Girardeau woman accused of taking items from Perry County home

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau woman faces stealing charges out of Perry County, Missouri.

According to the Perry County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday evening, someone who lives off of County Road 614 reported a young woman, deputies now say was Haws, taking items from the caller's vacant house..

When confronted, Haws reportedly gave the owner a fictitious name and phone number.

On Thursday, Perry County investigators were able to identify and and find Katherine I. Haws, 25, of Cape Girardeau.

Deputies say she was interviewed and confessed to entering the house and a shed on the property and stealing items.

A warrant was issued Friday for Haws, charging her with two counts of class c felony burglary 2nd degree and two counts of class a misdemeanor stealing less than $500.00.  She was taken to the Perry County Jail on $5,000 cash only bond.

2 Perryville women arrested on outstanding warrants

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - Two Perryville women were arrested Wednesday on outstanding warrants.

Connie Sue Pritchard, 41, was charged with two counts of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance from a July 25 incident.

Pandora Lynn Cowgur, 39, was charged with one count of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance from an Aug. 9 incident.

Both were taken to the Perry County Jail to be held on $10,000 cash only bond. Officers say the arrests were the result of an ongoing undercover drug operation by the Perry County Sheriff's Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol and SEMO Drug Task Force.

3 from Perryville facing child sexual abuse charges

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - The Perry County Sheriff's Department says three people have been arrested Wednesday following charges of child sexual abuse.

Daniel S. Fortner, 37, from Perryville was charged on a class a felony child molestation, first degree with victim under 12 years old; class c felony sexual misconduct with child under 15 years old; class d felony failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of class d felony furnishing pornographic material to a minor, second degree. Fortner is being held in the state of Illinois pending extradition.

Chase A. Knapp, 29, from Perryville was charged with class b felony child molestation, first degree; and class d felony sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 years of age. The sheriff's department says the incident took place in July of 2012. His bond was set at $5,000 cash only.
