Four people arrested after undercover drug operation in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Four people have been arrested as part of an undercover drug operation by the Perry County Sheriff's Office.

Shawn M. Wenzel, 32, and Janel M. Boland, 28, both of St. Mary, have been charged with a Class B felony of distribution of a controlled substance and a Class C felony of endangering the welfare of a child in the 1st degree, stemming from an incident in May of this year. Wenzel is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond. Boland on a $5,000 cash only bond.

Eric J. Baltrush,31, of Perryville was charged with at Class B felony of distribution of a controlled substance from an incident from late May of this year. Baltrush is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond.

Also arrested was Jennifer L. Priller, 47, of Perryville who was charged with a Class B felony of distribution of a controlled substance stemming from an incident in late May of this year.

Man charged with various burglaries in Longtown

LONGTOWN, MO (KFVS) - On July 19, 2012 the Perry County Sheriff's Office received reports of five different burglaries in the Longtown area at various residences.

After an investigation, Keith A. Satterfield II, 21, of Imperial Missouri was arrested on charges of first degree burglary, four counts burglary second degree, three counts stealing, three counts misdemeanor stealing and four counts property damage second degree.

"Almost all the stolen property has been recovered," said Perry County Sheriff Gary J. Schaaf.

Satterfield was being held on $20,000 bond.

Perryville man accused of attacking 2 women with knife, shoving 1 in fire

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Perryville man was arrested after the sheriff says he attacked two women with a knife and shoved one woman into a fire.

Saturday, July 14 at close to 2 a.m., the Perry County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a home on Hwy B in Perryville. The sheriff's office says the caller hung up and did not answer a call back. When deputies arrived, they found Steven L. Crowden, 33, had attacked Leticia Prosser and Betty Crowden with a knife and shoved Betty Crowden into a fire in the back yard. All three were intoxicated.

Steven L. Crowden was taken to Perry County Jail, where as of July 18 he was being held on two counts of first degree domestic assault, and one count of armed criminal action and second degree domestic assault.

Sedgewickville man accused of drug distribution

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Sedgewickville man faces drug charges after an ongoing undercover drug operation by the Perry County Sheriff's Office.

Johnathan M. Hobbs, 21, of Sedgewickville was arrested Tuesday on an active warrant for Class B felony distribution of a controlled substance stemming from an incident on May 8.

Hobbs was being held in custody on $10,000 cash only bond.

Perryville man facing multiple drug charges

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - A Perryville man is facing drug charges after the sheriff's office received a call for an unresponsive person Tuesday morning.

Kevin A. Decker, 32, was charged with three counts of Class C felony possession of a controlled substance, and two Class A misdemeanor counts for possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

At about 8:32 a.m. on Tuesday, the Perry County Sheriff's Office received a call to Lynwood Trailer Park for a person that was unresponsive. When the ambulance and deputies arrived, deputies say the man was responsive, but they found illegal drugs in his possession.

Deputies say the found heroin, Aderall and Xanax on Decker, which they say he didn't have a prescription for. They say he also had a misdemeanor amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Decker is currently being held at the Perry County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.

Couple charged with stealing car from Benton, Mo. store

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A couple was arrested Tuesday after Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said they stole a car and then wrecked.

Stacy A. Reid, 38, from Jackson and William R. Crass, 30, from Frohna were charged with stealing a motor vehicle.

Walter said his office received a report of a stolen vehicle from the Dollar Store in Benton late Monday afternoon. Shortly, afterwards, Walter said a car wreck was reported on County Road 321 and it was quickly determined that one of the cars in the crash was the stolen car from the Dollar Store.

According to Walter, a deputy responding to the crash found Reid and Crass walking from the area with several articles of property stolen from the stolen car. He said the driver of the other car involved in the crash identified Reid and Crass as the two people who left the scene.

Perryville man charged with drug distribution

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - A Perryville man faces charges of drug distribution.

John V. French, 27, of Perryville, Mo., is charged with distributing a controlled substance. An ongoing investigation by the Perry County Sheriff's Department led to French's arrest.

The warrant was a result of an incident in May. French was arrested in January earlier this year.

French has two separate bonds. Bond is set at $35,000 cash for his January arrest. Bond is set at $10,000 for his May arrest.
