KFVS12 Summer Blood Drive | Events

(KFVS) - The KFVS12 Summer Blood Drive starts Friday, August 17.

This year donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment to decrease wait times. Walk-ins are welcome but wait times may be longer.

The blood drive schedule is:

• Friday, August 17th - 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, August 18th - 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

All donors will also enjoy freshly baked cookies and a $3 gift card from Subway, plus a special Red Cross t-shirt provided by Aaron Sachs & Associates! (while supplies last, at participating locations)

Plus, as an incentive for young donors, anyone aged 16 to 21 can enter to win a $5,000 scholarship!

Many of you already know about our annual Heartland Blood Drive that takes place each January.  But when the Red Cross asked us to collect donations to help with this Summer's blood shortage, we didn't hesitate.  That's why we're teaming with Subway and the Red Cross to sponsor the 6th annual KFVS12 Summer Blood Drive at 11 locations throughout the Heartland. Now it's easier than ever to give the gift of life.

*Potential donors should be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent form), meet weight requirements, and be in good health.  Donors will need to present a photo ID.
