(KFVS) - In light of the recent tragedy in Kansas City, the Missouri One Call System is reminding people that April is Dig Safely Month.

The spring dig season is fast approaching and with it comes the dangers of digging without knowing what is underground. MOCS is a not-for-profit company whose mission is to prevent damage to underground utilities and promote safety when it comes to digging.

The group operates a 24/7/365 call center. 1-800-DIG-RITE or 811. You can also click here to visit them online. They say call or click three days before you dig.
