Donate blood to Red Cross, be entered in $3,000 gift card drawing | News

(KFVS) - The American Red Cross is offering a Super Summer Save campaign through the end of September.

The Red Cross says they are encouraged by the boost in donations recently and would like to make sure there is an adequate supply of blood available through the end of the summer. They say across the country, nearly 15,000 donations have been given above expectations since they first issued their appeal, cutting the blood donation deficit by about 30 percent to date. To maintain the momentum, they are encouraging anyone who has not yet given blood this summer to schedule an appointment.

As a special incentive to donors, the American Red Cross is offering the Super Summer Save campaign; during which, all presenting blood and platelet donors will be entered in a drawing to win a $3,000 American Express gift card usable toward gas, rent, bills, etc.
