Foundation 32 to award grants, seeks directors to continue mission | News
PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - Foundation 32 has announced that it will kick off a new community awareness and fundraising effort by giving away money.
The educational foundation of Perry County School District 32 is accepting applications from District 32 staff members for mini-grants of up to $500 to enhance learning opportunities for students. Applications are due by March 1 and are available on the District website. Grants will be awarded in April with implementation required by May 10.
In addition, the foundation is planning an April 5 spring social to recognize outstanding students and staff and to raise money to provide additional grants and services to the district.
“Foundation 32 has raised both money for and awareness of the quality programs offered at District 32 over the years,” said Orville Schaefer, president of the Foundation 32 Board of Directors. “Today, it’s even more important for us to provide this crucial support for our school and community, the extras that we can provide will make a difference in the lives of children every day.
“We are truly blessed to live in a community that is committed to improving the quality of life we can offer young people in Perry County. The board is inviting anyone interested in helping us continue our mission to support and enhance the education offered at our public school to join our efforts. If you’d like to volunteer to serve on the Foundation 32 Board of Directors, we’d love to hear from you!”
The board will appoint new directors by Feb. 11.
