Perryville Board of Alderman relaxes limb pick-up policy

PERRYVILLE, MO ( KFVS) - The Perryville Board of Alderman has suspended the requirement that only homeowners can cut limbs and debris for city pick-up.

The board said the suspension will give residents the opportunity for commercial tree-trimmers, friends, family and neighbors to help clean up while still putting their limbs along the curb for city staff to remove.

To be eligible for pick-up, limbs must be cut on-site, meaning they cannot be brought in from another property. Also, for citizen convenience, the city said it will pick up all lengths and diameters of wood chunks, limbs and debris.

Residents are welcome to take their limbs to the Public Works office also. They have taped off an area on the back lot for the material. According to the board, this service cannot be offered to professional contractors.

This policy will end June 1.
