St. Vincent welcomes new president of schools | Schools
PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - St. Vincent's welcomes a new president of schools.
Dr. Patricia Hensley will be filling the top seat in school administration. She received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies with an emphasis on mathematics from St. Louis University, as well as a Master of Arts in Education and a Doctorate of Philosophy.
Hensley has over 25 years of professional experience as an elementary and secondary Catholic school principal in St. Louis schools as well as serving as Head of School for two newly merged Catholic schools located in the West Indies.
"I have been responsible for living and setting the example of many school missions," said Hensley. "In addition, as an administrator, I have had experience with the overall operations of each school in the areas of curriculum, helping to design strategic planning structures along with long-range planning and program assessment, creation of school budgets and expenditures. My duties include student recruitment and admissions, faculty recruitment and evaluation, faculty professional development, and working with Capital Campaign cabinets to meet with donors, present school strategies and plans and to request financial commitments."
According to the school, Hensley's strong experience in leadership and direction made her the best candidate to serve as president of schools in addition to filling the role of acting principal for the junior high and high school. She relieves Louise Wibbenmeyer who graciously agreed to lead the two schools until a permanent candidate could be found.
Classes for the 2012-2013 school year at SVHS and junior high will start Thursday, Aug. 16. Hensley and Tim Thompson, the St. Vincent Elementary School's newly named principal, alongside Father Milton will be welcomed Aug. 14 at a meet and greet held on SV campus.
For more information about the school district, or to take a tour of the schools and campus, you can call Hensley at 573-547-2560.
