PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools are offering scholarships to new students in kindergarten through eighth grades.

The Alive In Christ Scholarships, Archbishop Carlson's endeavor to make a Catholic education more accessible to new families, is fast approaching its launch for the 2013-2014 school year.

This scholarship money, available to those who received it last year and any new students at SV Elementary in the 2013-2014 school year (Grades K-8), can range anywhere from $500 to $2,000 per household depending on your income and situation.

The application goes online, Sunday, Jan. 27. However, any application that is sent before Monday, Jan. 28 will not be accepted.

To start the application process, you can go to www.archstl.org/ttef and look for "Alive In Christ" Scholarship."

You will be required to submit, along with the application, your 2011 Federal 1040 or W-2 plus income from any other sources.

You can scan and send all these documents and the application to the email directed on the application, or you are welcome to bring by a copy to the SV Elementary Office, 1007 W. St Joseph and they will fax it for you if you don't have access to a fax machine.

Hard copies of the Scholarship application will be available at SV Elementary on Monday, Jan. 28 if you wish to pick one up.
