CEC offering energy audits at reduced price for limited time only

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - For a limited time only, Citizens Electric is helping you save money on your electric bill in the New Year with a home energy audit.

The company is offering the service for a $50, or 75 percent off the regular price.

During a home energy audit, a certified technician will use a blower door, infrared camera and software program to analyze your home for energy hogs and air leaks. The electric company says air infiltration through unsealed cracks and inadequate insulation are the biggest sources of energy waste in homes today. No structure is built to be airtight; however, many homes cumulatively leak as much air as having a window open year-round.
